I’ve been saying ‘my busy era is coming to an end’ since about November 2014, but it’s been especially hilarious this year. As I’m an Extremely Booked and Important Individual, here is a punchy communication about my forthcoming events in Nottingham and London. Please don’t congratulate me for having tons of projects on the go; my husband knows it’s a form of masochism.
Murdered to Death (by Peter Gordon)
30th September – 5th October, 7.30pm
The Lace Market Theatre, Nottingham
Following my wonderful experience in Strangers On A Train at Nottingham’s finest (natch) am-dram theatre, I'm playing a dubious French art dealer in this totally ridiculous Miss Marple parody by Peter Gordon. A jolly good time.
Spooky Theatre Night
16th October, 7.30pm
Canal Cafe Theatre, London
I’ll be sharing a slice of a brand new work-in-progress show about the dark side of old Hollywood, and the blurred line between fact and fiction, as part of this horror-themed night of scratch pieces.
GOBS x Poets off the Endz at Hockley Hustle
20th October, 2-6pm
Emmanuel House Support Centre, Nottingham
Is it poetry you’re after? I’ll be doing a 10-min set as part of this showcase during this annual one-day arts festival that’s become a jewel in the city’s cultural crown.
Vrykolakas (And Other Beings From Elsewhere)
2nd & 3rd November, 5pm
Etcetera Theatre Club, London
For 45 minutes, I’ll be telling dark tales of horrible creatures, including the titular Greek vampire, as part of the Camden Horror Festival.
That’s it for this year! Thank you for indulging me. Let’s also pretend I told you all about my set at Bad Betty Live last month, which I definitely wasn’t too terrified and embarrassed to tell you about. Yes, a poetry set. In front of people. How am I still standing? But it went well, thank you.
Wow you are a busy man, congrats on landing these gigs! I hope there are many more in your future! 😘
